WOODLANDS PHILOSOPHY

We believe off-lead exercise, socialisation, and mental stimulation in a natural, outdoor environment is essential to a healthy dog’s life.

We practice calm self-control and do not allow high intensity controlling play which results in focused dogs that are respectful to each other and their trainer. It also builds confidence and good socialisation skills.

We operate in a private, fully supervised environment that is safe and secure. Your dog will develop social skills and an acceptable play style among our day-care packs.

Because our trained staff are very experienced, they can read your dog's signals & body language and will adjust his/her play accordingly. And we can inform you of any behaviours your dog is displaying at day camp and give you advice on different things you can do at home to guide him/her to becoming a well-balanced dog.

HOW WE OPERATE

Dogs get to spend a full day with us out at Woodlands in a fully secure, fenced property and come home happy & tired.  We pick up and drop off all our dogs.  Feel free to check with us if you are in our pick up zone.

Our dogs get both mental and physical stimulation during the day. While they get to play lots of ball games, play chase & cool off in the pools, we also have structured time. This is where they have to practice threshold manners (waiting at gates & being called through by name), extended down-stays and they must be respectful of other dogs and our dog handlers.

PICK UP & DROP OFF

We pick up and drop off all our dogs to save owners the time and stress of rushing to meet day camp deadlines.  We aim to keep travelling time to a minimum for our dogs.  Given we head out of the city, we have few traffic delays as we travel in the opposite direction to rush hour traffic.

We start pick-ups around 7:00am and usually drop home before 5:00pm. Dogs travel in our comfortable air conditioned van. And don't worry if you're not home - we just need you to tell us how to reach your dog.

REGISTRATION

We need you to fill in an Enrolment form and Terms of Service form and email back to us along with your pooch’s up to date vaccination records.

VACCINATIONS

All dogs joining us at Woodlands must meet the vaccination requirements below or present yearly positive Titer testing results. These are annual vaccinations and must have been completed at least 10 days prior to coming onto our property. Please email us a picture or scan of your dog’s recent pet passport when vaccinations are renewed each year.

  • 4 in 1 vaccination - i.e. DHPPI, Vanguard 5, Canvac 4, Protech C4 and Da2p+CPV

  • Kennel cough - separate vaccination

  • Leptospirosis - separate vaccination

  • Titre testing – annual positive results

INTRODUCTION DAY

All dogs must complete an initial assessment and introduction day. This is to check their suitability for our day care environment and also for us to bond with your dog and start building a relationship with them.  Our senior dog handler will spend time with your dog one-on-one, building confidence and gaining trust.  This ensures your dog is introduced to the pack in the right way so they feel calm and secure in their new environment and the other dogs feel comfortable with them.

ENTIRE DOGS

We accept unneutered male & female dogs up to the age of 7 months old.  We would be happy to chat to you about our guidelines before your dog is enrolled with us.

END OF DAY

At the end of the day, we give all dogs a towel down (but not a full bath), a quick health check and rehydrate before we head home.
